I am a new vette owner. I have a 2008 LS3. This is my first corvette. I am confused with the alpha numeric codes used by Corvette to designate models, options etc. For example, LT1, LS1,2,3, L88,C5-R, LT4,etc. Can you please direct me to a comprhensive listing of these alpha numeric and their meanings? Is there any logic to these designations?
Also, being a novice in the Vette world, I would like to know more about the technical aspects of my vette and vettes in general. The owner's manual is too general. Can you recommend some books, other literature or web sites for a newbee.
I read you mag cover to cover every month. Keep up the good work. tony tonysesny@gmail.com

there are more than likely as many corvette books written as there are european sports car books written.
here is the short read...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette
