I am putting after market gauges in a c3 and have the following colored wires in the connector. #1 is black, #2 is dark green, #3 is pink/white,#6 is orange, #7 is dark blue, #8 is brown, #9 is black, #10 is tan, #11 is pink, and #12 is grey. I know #6 is hot, #12 is the instrument lights, # 10 and #11 is gas gauge. There is no blk/wht for the amp meter, so I do not know which wire slot is for that gauge. It would be nice to know what the other colors are for so I may use them for something else. I have enclosed a url that shows the connector.
Thanks.

i flipped open to the 77 model year..
on the center cluster looking at the back of the cluster printed circuit... reversed if looking at the front of the connector where its usually embedded in the printed circuit.. again.. this is for a 77.. as i just happened to have it up...
instrument lights/ ground ignition / temp gauge fuel gauge /seat belts ground/ to the ? bulb under the seat belt bulb alternator light/to the other side of the same ? bulb under the seat belt oil pressure gauge/ constant power for the clock feed
blue will be oil pressure green will be temp tan is usually fuel gauge.. but it could also be straight pink on a corvette. pink and black is ign. orange is probably clock feed. grey is instrument lighting. yellow is the seat belts brown is alternator wire tan with a white stripe is probably the parking brake light circuit please post a year..i hate to post the WRONG INFO..
