Have a 1998 Corvette. Bought it new. About 40,000 miles and year-old new Goodyear run-flats. RR sensor flashes about a flat tire, then a few minutes into the drive reads the correct air pressure--not flat. The dealer said he "reset" the sensor, but it still malfunctions. Do you recommend a costly replacement, just live with it--or what?

there are a bunch of articles on TPMS.... you might google the term TPMS...
independent tire dealers will have various brands of replacements available that will work with your system...
even dorman has gotten into the frey... with TPMS sensors for you corvette..
dorman products # 974-051 or Motormite # 45353

should be available from many parts stores.... with a part number above...
if you are still having problems.. log in.. send me a message above.. i know a distributer in gardena ca who has several optional brands..

Thanks! I did research on the web, so I would be literate talking to the Chevy dealer. The procedure to replace it looks simple enough? I'm going back to the dealer this week--who claimed they "re-set" the sensor. We'll try again... I've learned my lesson the hard way, with my daily driver--using independents. I only take the Corvette to a dealer.
