an all original car is probably worth a lot more than one that has been repainted...
you also have to understand what a chore it is to duplicate the factory paint job.. and get it correct... at that point.. its not an original car.. its a repainted car...
there was a car dealership here in los angeles.. that got in trouble with GM warrantee department..
the cars had a little wave in the body panels from the factory.. the dealership called that a defect and repainted almost every car.. at GM nickel... they block sanded the cars until they were perfectly smooth.. then repainted them...
i got this directly from a salesman for that company... so.. if your corvette is as smooth as glass.. and it was sold in los angeles... it was probably sold through that dealership... i don't know what years they repainted them.. or even if yours was sold there..
