Hi everyone,
I have an opportunity to trade my 2001 Jeep Wrangler for a cherry lipstick red 82 corvette. I have gotten only negative reports about this model. Can you experts tell me more and would I be making a terrible mistake. I am 49 years old and have always wanted to won a vet. I want to trade my jeep for a little luxury. I am tired of bouncing around and taking a running jump to get into this thing.

thats impossible to say without a PROPER inspection of the corvette.... by somebody who really knows corvettes..
some are so trashed... they are just piles of parts... some look good and are still piles of parts...
some are well kept .. well maintained.. and are great fun...
some have been seriously modified and will not pass a normal smog test... even if it comes pre tested..
i am not shooting your wanting a corvette down.. but.. be careful.. they are a LOT more money to work on than your jeep...
do you have a current mechanic???? ask him.. or if you are in a larger city.. you can have AAA do an inspection on it.. they will give you a decently complete report on mechanical issues..
