1978 C3 drivers door glass stuck

My near perfect 1978 C3's driver side door glass is stuck in the down position with approx 2" of glass still above the top of door.
How can I get this "un-stuck"? Also, what could be the problem.
Please help.

almost every auto parts store stocks GM window motors that are new and and rebuilt versions...
windows stick on every car...
have you verified the switch... the power to the circuit...
you might want to contact your local high end upholstery shop and ask them if they will remove your door panel .. as most upholstery guys who do high end work... know how to get them off without damaging them.. many will also know how to work and repair the electric windows...
the problem is trying to not end up with a HACK... you might pick up a fresh window motor and take it with you.. as it will be a LOT faster if you have the window motor when you drive into the shop.. and a new window switch.. it is possible that something has caught in there.. but without looking.. and i am not inside corvette doors enough..
seems the window motor gears are replaceable also
