I am trying to get radio from a 1981 corvette restored. AM/FM Digital Readout Cassette, can you recommend anyone.
Was there a radio made for the 78 thru 1981 Corvette that was only an AM/FM Radio with no tape plyback option.

there are a bunch of car radio specialists spread around the country...
gm used similar car stereos in caddys also... so you might want to look in the wrecking yards for similar units from full size luxury cars .. that will have a lot less exposure to the sun.. and may still work..
all delco radio units have a service number on them.. google the numbers... you will probably find a radio shop...
most VCR shops have replacement belts for the cassette transport... some list belt kits by radio number...
after 30 years in service.. for the best sound.. you might want to have somebody recap the stereo if there is distortion..
there might be radio service manuals available .. but most of those are owned by the radio repair shops...
