I just read the article titled "The Power of 3" in my latest edition of Vette magazine.
Work done by GM thru Thomson Automotive and at Crane Cams before they were broken up and sold showed conclusively that due to the large intake valves in the LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads camshafts needed to have approximately 20 degrees more duration on the exhaust lobes over what was specified on the intake lobes.
It would be interesting to see a power run on the LS3 in the article with a cam that had the following specs:
Intake duration: 232 degrees Exhaust duration: 252 degrees
Intake lift at the valve: .640 inches Exhaust lift at the valve: .640 inches
Lobe Separation Angle: 118 degrees
Thanks for the improvements you have made in the magazine1
