they came in 61's... that car is almost 50 years old.. chevy engines have been swapped as soon as the car left the car transporter ... there is no telling except for careful inspection of the various codes stamped into the engine block and the transmission...
i am NOWARE near knowing enough to write any answer other than what i have written above..
there are lots of books on the subject.....
since i seem to be almost alone in answering questions here i gave you what i could of an answer..
check the engine codes.. , casting numbers.. julian dates... stamped in numbers...
