81 vette. bought the car .it sat for a long time. last owner lost the dip stick. how can i replace it. i bought one at autozonefor 350 ing. dip stick on right side passenger side. how do iget one that fits right.

is the dip stick for the left side or the right.. how about a part number off the package???/
chebrolet.. dealer has them...
you can verify the proper level... by changing the oil... and the oil filter.. putting in 5 quarts and staring the motor.. shut it off... check the level on the new dipstick...
i just wonder if your corvette uses the 6 quart pan..
how is the dip stick tube??????/ good shape .. or broken off...
the chrome version from mr gasket should be a mr gasket part number 6237 fits on the passenger side...
according the Mr gasket catalog..
#6235 fits the block, drivers side from 65 to 79..
#6237 fits the passenger side of 80 to 82 motors..
