front and rear flexible bumpers?????? or rigid panels..???? in the paint itself???? or in the soft or hard plastic exterior parts..
it varies... but most of the time.. it requires a repaint.. some shops .. if they buff any oxidized paint out first.. can match the colors if it is not to faded..
there are several articles in the technical section above... and more to be found through the search link by just putting in the term C4...
here is an article on painting the urethane bumpers on a C5....
for tears... and filling cracks in the base bumper flexible materials.... there are a bunch of products... there are also a lot of bumper repair shops.. that do flexible bumper repairs.. where the bend them back to shape and fill gashes..
you might take a look at the MMM.com site.. (3M._) look up dynotron product # 660 urethane bumper repair kit... i have used that.. after proper surface prep to glue lots of things back together... its shapable.. and can be painted over..
