corvette doors are not light....

why are you removing the doors...  going to replace the hinges????

i would think that you might want pick up a corvette service / body manual

getting the doors back on without damaging the fenders.. the edges of the doors.. the door jam takes skills...

and some blue masking tape... to protect the edges....

the door panels have to come off...   any wiring disconnected and fed through the hinge side of the door...

there were special shapes of wrenches to get door hinge bolts out..  i don't know if you will need them with the availability of universal joint sockets, wobble end extensions, flex head ratchets..

rags covering the saddles of the floor jack used to support the door...

this really is not a one man job.. unless you have years of experience..

putting it back on is harder... without doing damage...

there might be some articles that might cover door hinge adjustments..

the doors are not that heavy....   you could use an engine hoist .. if you use nylon straps to hold the door.. but then you are probably going to damage the fresh paint..

go down to your local body shop... take a case of soda...   ask the manager if you could watch the techs remove and install a door...    once you have seen it done... you will get an idea of how to do it right...  there are a bunch of different ways.. it usually takes 2 or 3 people to do it without damage to the doors..

there are special door holders available..  that have lifts and ways to support the doors at the proper level to unfasten them and fasten them...

it is also covered in the factory corvette body  manual...

this is one of the questions that bring up how much you actually know about what you may be doing..  i understand.. that not everybody has done this... so... a case of soda might get you some experience...

you might take a bucket off tools... and a strong friend... visit a self service junk yard.. pay the 2 bucks..  start pulling gm doors  off...   70 and 80s doors on some models can be unbolted like your corvette... along with lots of other cars... practice on a imported car.. take it off.. hang it... adjust it.. so it closes perfectly..  do it a few times... on various cars...  you cannot go wrong with some practice... in a junk yard...  please start on a import car... so you don't have to fight it's massive weight..
