I would like to buy track tires for my C5 stock wheels. What is a good tire for track and that I can drive to the track?

i see no one has answered you.... you might really want to talk to a performance tire dealer... and a racing tire dealer.. other corvette racers... i had hoped one would poke in here and inflate this situation..
i don't know if tire rack has any racing tires.. probably... carroll shelby enterprises has several goodyear racing tire stores..
its just too far out of my line to give you an exact answer.. but i thought i would at least answer you...
you might really want to buy a spare set of rims or a set and a half.. 6 so you can carry a set and a half with you to the track.. and a calibrated torque wrench.... and please... before racing ... at home or in the shop... find a thread pitch gauge.. sort of a pocket knife sort of thing.. with flip out blades that look like saws.. and check the studs for stretched threads near the rotor .. or hold up a brand new stud.. look at how even the threads are spaced.. when studs get stretched.. the spacing will change close to the hub...
like this....^^^^^^^^^_^_^|
