I want a wider tire to fit on my original polished aluminum wheels.  I'm forever "curbing" my wheels, so I'm looking for a wider (section width?) tire that has wider sidewalls to protect my wheels.  I'd also like a quieter, smoother riding tire than the original Goodyear EMTs.  My car is a 2007 3LT Z51 roadster w/ 10,600 miles.  HELP!

there is a near feature on some tire web sites....    show all sizes of tires by rim size...

here is the one for tire rack

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/sizes/index.jsp

this is a great resource..  gives you an idea .. of sizes available..  pricing..  and tire tread designs.. and feed back from people with them.

i personally wanted to install a license plate frame back up camera on a friends C4... and a switch for a second camera stashed in the right side somewhere..   looking back or looking downward from the wheel well so you could see the distance between the curb and the rim before you nail it..      they do have pop out displays just for this.. and center rear view mirrors with a partial monitor display through the mirror...

curb feelers just don't look right on a corvette.. ;-)

Tyvm for the Tire Rack reference.  I'll hopefully get some baseline info for my search.  (The camera idea sounds like a grand option - though I'd probably need 4 lenses to capture all my possible "curbing" scenarios....  ;o)
