I'm a 71 owner. I love the articles on the C3 Triple Ex, but I'm disappointed. Back in Aug 2009, you mentioned replacing the nose with the correct one prior to painting. I just read my March issue and it's painted, (looks great BTW) but you have the wrong nose, and NO Chrome.

What gives?

Don't worry, we love the chrome bumper look and our plans definately include changing the nose. As with any magazine project, however, it takes a while to line up all the parts and pieces we need for the swap and we were tired of the car looking so bad in the meantime.

We plan a full-on conversion article in the future, and will match the paint or show how to blend a paint job in the process. Stay tuned and thanks for the input!

Don't change the nose, I like it the way it is. I guess that is why I have a 1973!

What size tires did you put on the new SLP 17" wheels?

Please tell me your not going to stick with those rims.. I see that you want to show off the brakes you installed, but between that nose and side fender.. They are taken away from that awesome paint job.. So looking forward to that front end gone, and adding the side crates.. Can't wait to see more mechanical improvements.. I've been thinking of changing to a rack and pinion steering.

I hope you keep the build real as far as the engine goes. I would rather see you do bolt ons, cam, heads, turbo, supercharger etc.. If we all had the money we would love to drop a LS in our car. I have a 89 with the L98 motor. I would like to see you enhance what you have.

Great paint job but how does the car pass inspection without headlights ? Also I'm not crazy about the rims they look too small and modern.
