I am getting ready to upgrade my rotors and paint my calipers and swap out my regular brake lines for braided brake lines. My questions are in your tech dept. that shows me how to swap out mt rotors and brakes hoses, they say to use DOT brake fluid 4 but on the brake fluid cap it says to use 3 which one should I use. Also is a brake scaning tool absoultly necessary when bleeding the brakes

the biggest difference as far as i know between dot 3 and dot 4 brakes fluids is the boiling point of the fluids...
you might also want to invest in a brake bleeder tool...
like this
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92474
almost every parts store sells this model in various packaging..
so you can pull fresh fluid through your lines... and pull the air out...
the brass bodied brake bleeder tools i like better than the plastic versions..
what year vette do you have...

good evening,
I am looking for contact info for a dear friend that I used to be involved (corvette wise) with when I have a corvette, Dave Walters, as a group we did an awesome road trip to Bloomington Gold back in the late 90's... and he had a Texaco station in coral gables. I have since moved and lost contact with him and would love to be able to contact him again regarding my car. I know he wqs teaching @ UM, but I would be very gratefule for any info, Dave was the coolest vette guy I new and so humble. would love to catch up on old times and new times... I just bought a new 2010 and I only want the best mechanic to look after my baby, any contact help would be gratefully apprececiated.
