I have an 80 vette and the paint looks original but the fiber glass has come through. I know it needs a repaint, but can I do to get it ready for a paint job? Should one apply gelcoat or just have it painted? And what the going rate for a decent paint job? I live in N.Y. Two I read your article on the C4 rear end rebuild. Is this the rear as an 80 vette? Great mag keep up the good work!

Try Mike Ven de Huevel at "The Painter Auto Body" in Haverstraw NY.
1-845-429-4600
tell him Vette Rob Sent you.
He just did a Lingenfelter Hood for me. Perfect!!
Mike is a good guy and will take good care of your car as well.
Expect to pay about 3500-4000 for a top notch paint job on your vette.
All depends on how much prep-body work you need done.

Good luck.
