Hi, I've been reading this forum for a while and got some great tips and ideas. This is my first time with a question: I have a 2000 C5 (42500 miles), i took it in to a dealer for an oil change, the tech told me that the rear seals were leaking and needed to be replaced (a $760 job!) . I got under it at home and could not see or feel any leakage anywhere in the rear end, everything was bone dry. Maybe i should have had him point it out to me. My question is, with this amount of miles, is it common for the rear seals to leak or go bad? I'm going to another shop for a second opinion. Batman

Going to another shop this weekend. Its in the rear end, not the motor. I'll definitely get under there with the Tech next time! Thanks for the reply.
