My C4 has been driving great, then one day, it wouldn't turn over. The next day, i replaced the battery and it got me home. The next dat, it got to the local Advance auto parts where they tested my battery and alternator...everything looks good. I get in to drive away and it won't turn over! We couldn't hear the fuel pump, so I replaced it, and can hear it, but it still won't crank. I replaced the fuel filter...no crank! So there it sits until the morning. But what's next? Any ideas on what to look at next?

ok... does the starter fail to crank the engine over when you turn the key
or does the starter crank the motor over and the engine does not run...
is the security light on the dash board lit up when you are trying to start the engine... if so,... your antitheft system may need some work... you might start with a shot of wd40 in the ignition lock and work it a few times in and out and then rotating it...
another place to clean is the battery cable ends... disconnect both sides... pull the bolt out.. pour some hot water over the end of the cable... this will soften the plastic enough to pull it over the end of the ring terminal so you can clean it with hot water and a stainless steel tooth brush from the hardware or paint store..
post what you find...
along with what year you c4 is.. there are small differences..

Thanks Wayne! I've got the experimental '84 crossfire injection. My battery is new, and my starter and alternator checked out good. I've got fuel all the way up to the injector, but nothing. I've shot starter fluid, but barely get any response. She gets towed to my Vette guy on the 9th, so I think I'm giving up for now. If I can understand what he does, I'll post that for the common good! Thanks again!

but the crossfire was not experimental... it was used on 82 vettes...
82 , 83 and 84 camaros and firebirds...
it is just a throttle body injection system.... think of it as a normal 2 injector system used on MILLIONS of other gm and a few other brand cars... up through 93....
the only difference is it uses duel throttle body housings... duel idle air control motors... and a single throttle position sensor..
most of the troubles i have found are with the ignition system... the pick up coils needing changing after 25 years ... the ignition modules needing changing after 25 years... the ignition coils really really need changing ...
the capacitor harness should be changed also... under 20 bucks...
you have to go to gm or delco for the 4 pin ecm harness for the distributer...
i posted some archived article links on this forum or corvette fever site...
here is one...

this one goes into making more power out of them.. but has great pictures and info... to make you more familiar with whats going on under the air cleaner..

these 2 might be worth 10 bucks...

Oil contaminated with gas? A failed injector is good for a hydraulic lock. Happened on my 86.
