there are several companys that sell kits to do it already..
if you are having low vacuum problems... take a trip to the junk yard....
look under the front fender of most front wheel drive later 80's GM cars... they have a power brake booster vacuum pump hidden there... it is usually stashed in front of the tire... and hidden by the inner fender... follow the power brake booster hoses..
the pump is installed between the engine vacuum connection and the power brake booster...
there are 2 different styles... one with a pressure switch built in... and one with a remote pressure switch...
the remote type have an additional plug in the power brake booster at 2 or 3 Oclock position ... where the normal check valve is at 10 O clock.. you will need this vacuum switch... you should also try to find the VIN number for the car you take this vacuum pump off of.. so you can get the wiring diagram...
be sure to get the bracket they mount on... makes it easier to keep them quiet... they don't run all the time.. only when the booster vacuum is low...
but a properly sized hydroboost system is a great thing... .... i think on of the hydroboost conversions shops is here in the los angeles area... east los angeles.. city of commerce.. norwalk????

thanks for the info. the reason for hydroboost is mostly for the room. and the more power. my car is an original big block car. I just want more room around the engine.
