I just bought my first vette 2 wks ago, and am not real sure if I got a good deal or not.  I got caught up in the "WOW" and rushed this deal.  I bought a 1999 hard top vette, w/ the LS1 motor.  The veh. is immaculate, and has been garaged since birth.  It is not a Z06, but has the Z06 package, interior, and wheels.  BUT, the original owner had GM uprade several things to the motor, larger cold air intake, high performance filters etc.  I have a copy of the Dyno sheet that GM sent and shows the veh. at 403HP, and shows all the upgrades, and HP boost for each.  Its a six speed, and has 63,000 orig. miles.  The interior is 98%, and EVERYTHING is in perfect working condition.  The only aftermarket part on the vette is a brand new CORSA stainless exhaust.  Other than this, the car is all stock from GM.  I gave $16,000 for this RED beauty, and hope I did ok.  Any opinions????

Thanks

You might as well have stolen it from underneath the previous owner! Haha! Yes, you got a very good deal.

Thanks for the input, now maybe my wife will start speaking to me again...lol.  Not really, shes been a trooper about the whole thing.  Funny thing is though,  neither of us wanted RED, nor did we want a 6 speed!   But after owning the car for a couple of weeks, the red is now FINE,  and the 6 speed is the only way to own a vette.  I guess it worked out fine all the way around.  Thanks for taking time to respond.....I do feel better now!

The dyno sheet came from a GM mechanic(at a dealership) that the original owner knew.  As i stated, it is NOT, a Z06, but has the Z06 package or (LOOK)....  2 tone leather stitched  interior, and the Z06 wheels. I dont know what the corsa catback exhaust added to HP, but I do think it puts this car in the upper end of HP for 1999 stock vettes.
Just a guess.
