Looking for info on rebuilding the master brake cylinder. Specifically an exploded view, or a step by step with photos. Expolded view will do nicely.
TIA Dave

you really really really want to examine the inside of the bore for wear... clearances to the side of the piston...
warning... if you are going to clean the master... only brake cleaner... then several baths after the brake cleaner drys... with fresh brake fluid... if you are going to hone it.. or polish the inside.. with 1500 or finer sandpaper on a piece of heater hose... use only brake fluid...
any chance of brake cleaner or any lube for honing may shorten the life of the seals...
i am almost to the point of taking apart brand new masters and honing the bore .... who ever is doing some of them... has the wrong grit stones on their rod machine... connecting rod hones are used to final hone master cylinders..
they used to have a roller bearing tool head for them... they called the finish bearingized... it used an expanding holder with long roller bearings to smash the surface of the bore totally smooth... the seals are so soft ... a fingernail will cut them... but time is important.. not length of service.
they also have a good section on the antilock brakes... and wiring diagrams... cost.. $0... just join..
