I'm in serious need of somebody that may be able to help me or knows somebody that could ? I got a hold of a 1969 Aluminum block 427 back in late, late 70's, According to what i found out then by the serial #'s, it came out of a corvette with a manual transmission, with that investigation i found out it was known as a ZL-1. All the markings where telling me it probably was ! I gave it a fresh rebuild + a Holley 1050 and an Edelbrock C-454,crower stainless steel roller rockers,chrom-moly push rods and the best Hooker headers you could get (2 1/4 primary tubes,3 1/2 collectors). Put all that into a 1967 SS-396 Chevelle w/either an M-21 or M-22 and with either trans ever time i left the track it needed a clutch again I went from 4:10 to 4:56 to 4:88's,still smoked the clutch Next was a multiple disc! I had fun !Anyway, the car (complete w/interior,3 spare tires and jack in trunk) was pretty desent but i just considered it a rolling engine stand !My best time was 12 sec.@130mph, I tried hard to get 11.99. My question is where and how can i get a value on this engine only (ZL-1)The engine and other B.Blocks where suppose to be mine according to the divorce decree, know i'm taking her to court for her selling my Zl-1 and car for chicken sh-t....I have pictures of the engine(ZL-1)(inside and out) before it even went in the car and after i raced it.Which i can submit later.I'm really in desperate help in trying to come up with a *** amount of what this ZL-1 is worth so i can let the courts know she put the screws to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody, anywhere, please get back to me,i know i may be fishing but if i don't put my foot in the door i won't get anywhere !!

You need to talk to one of the Corvette collector societies, and maybe give the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green a shout.
