I just got a glass roof for free but the top is peeling and in bad shape. Does anyone know if I can sand the top finish off and spray it with a clear coat? There are no cracks or pits and it and it would seem that a refinish of the clear coat would be an easy fix. Has anyone tried this

I'm assuming your glass roof isn't glass but lexan. Yes it can be cleaned up, Typically these also have stress cracks that are in the lexan itself, these cannot be fixed as far as I know. The finish can be removed by sanding with 1000 grit wet or dry sand paper in a wet sanding procedure. You might consider following that up with 1500 wet also. Then you can clearcoat. Use a high quality clearcoat. Not the cheap stuff.
