If you change the original color of a car with matching #s will it effect the value of the car as long as you stay with 69 colors. My vette is cortez silver and I want to change it to tuxedo black wich was also a 69 color that year.I asked the vett staff and got a pass the buck to another web site answer. maybe a member can help thanks

Yes, painting the car a different color (even if it's a '69 color) will devalue the car. Anyone would be able to look at the data plate and tell the car isn't the correct color.
That aside, if you aren't planning on selling the car, paint it whatever color you want. If you're looking to sell, leave it the factory color.
