There's been plenty done, and as far as I know they're fairly simple. BowtieOverdrives.com sells bolt-in crossmembers for the C3 Corvettes for the 700R4's, any competent shop should be able to do the install. The hardest part should be getting the driveshaft shortened & balanced, and calibrating the Throttle Valve. BowtieOverdrives also sells the TV made easy kit, and BowlerTransmissions also has a throttle valve kit. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward bolt-in. If you want your shifter to go to all 4 positions however, you'll need to order the kit for your shifter to do so, Corvette Central has them for about $100. Personally, I went with a 4L80 for my swap, and it's been a nightmare. If I had to do it again, I'd have done the 700R4 instead.
But yeah, in short, all you should need is a Throttle Valve kit, the custom crossmember, and the shifter detent kit. Possibly a longer shifter cable. At that point all you'll need to do is pick your 700R4, stall converter, and a shop to do the install, or if you want to do it yourself, a shop to shorten & balance the driveshaft.
