Hi All I'm Ken from the UK and purchased last month a 2008 C6 Tiptronic in Victory Red 'Excellent' [it's my 2nd Vette I had a 2004 c5 Z06 in Torch Red!]I love the new styling but it was sitting too high and I scoured the Webb to find full Instructions with pic's and this site had a Brilliant Article So I sent of to Mid America and $50 of your US Bucks later.....I recieved the Bolts....Tonight I tackled the Drivers rear wheel I would say with 'Your' Instructions it was easy to follow. I popped the bolt in on a bed of LM2 Grease Fully lowered and backed off one turn... and re assembled. All was well until I came to tighten the Lower ball joint....It is just turning...you can't get a torq in as the Drive Shaft is sat on top of it ...I tried using a second trolley jack to put weight on the bottom of the Joint and it still is just turning.....whats the answer to this Please.....Looking foward to the new Low Slung Look!

"JOB'S JOBBED!"The answer was a tapered fork style Ball Joint Spliter which you definatley don't use to spilt the Joint that is done with a wooden drive and a Mallet.....see the article on this site ....The solution on re assembly is to put the washered nut on a few turns and the push the tapered tool in the gap and hit with a hammer on the domed end of the tool this pulls the taper back into it's housing and Wallah you can then tighten the nut without it just turninig the Ball in it's housing She looks Great drives great no rattles or squeaks Excellent!!!!!!!!!
