Hello! i an a proud owner of a 1974 corvette, who lives i Norway.
How can i find out who the previous owners are ?, or how many owners there are?
Is there possible to retrive the licensplate-number also?
My VIN Number are; 1z67z4s429073

As long as you know who you bought it from you should be able to go to your Automotive Registrar where you live and for usually a small fee they will provide you with a title search. Or if you wish you can go to http://www.Carfax.com and provide them with your serial number and about $30.00 U. S. currency and they will do a title search for you. That way you get in touch with the previous owners and they should be able to provide you with what you seek.

The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
The VIN must be from a car or light truck manufactured for the North American market since 1981.
My VIN is only 13 numbers, and older than 1981.
So carfax is not going to help

OK, when you live her in the U. S. and you purchase an automobile you get a slip of paper that has your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on it. Don't you get something similar to that? It to should be the same length(17 numbers) On some models there are plates either on the doors, or under the hood that have the whole number on it.

Ok.
Cars prior to 1981 have 13 numbers in the VIN number, after 1981 they have 17 or something.
On my 1974 corvette the VIN number is on the left of my vinshield.
My Corvette vas imported to Norway from U.S.A in 2005, and imported as a 350 C.I.D
But it is an original 454 bigblock car as described belov;
1z67z4s429073 --- my VIN number:
Division (1): Chevrolet
Car Line (Z): Corvette
Body Style (67): Two-Door Convertible
Engine Type (Z): LS4-454ci,270hp
Model Year (4): 1974
Plant (S): St. Louis, MO
Sequence Number: 429073
Just trying to find out who the prior owners are...But it seams to be to difficult, so i have to find another way to get to where i want
