i HAVE A 1977 VETTE, HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE HEAT FROM THE ENGINE GETTING INSIDE THRU THE DRIVERS SIDE, I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FROM WHERE IT MIGHT COME FROM, BUT HAVENT BEING ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT,, ANY IDEAS???

If it's not coming in around the mechanical control boots such as steering or pedals or wiring harness it may be lacking an inner fender panel lost due to damage of the left fender

It's a shark. They're all veritable ovens, especially in the summertime. Best things you can do is get some insulation to put under the carpet, and replace the transmission tunnel insulation. You may also want to consider some header wrap to wrap the headers and the exhaust past the cockpit, but only if you're running stainless steel exhaust & headers. Otherwise the wrap if it gets wet will only promote rusting on standard exhausts. Those would be the cheapest routes.
