i purchased a basket case and am trying to find out if the following is the correct motor for the car:
720983102217 FI OI SRO
it should be a 327 4-speed

where did that #720983102217 come from?? The block # for all 1962 vettes is 3782870 the suffix for differant engines are RC327 250HP MT, RD327 300HP MT RE327 340hp mt RF327 360hp mt SC&SD are 327 base engines w/automatic tranny... Get a Corvette Black Book has all the specs...
