How can i tell what year my 350-383 stroker motor is..i bought the car last month but the guy knew nothing about the rebuilt 383.  

You have to get the date codes off the heads and block, that'll give you a general idea of when your engine started life. Outside of that, unless you can get in touch with the shop that built the motor, there's no real exact way to know, unless the builder put a stamp or tab somewhere on the motor with it's born on date.
