89' covette

I have a 89' vette that is red with black Interior. My problem is that the whole Interior is black excepet for the concosle and arm rest whicth is gray. Could this be right or could the interior have been gray? I've owned the car for three years. The car was   painted by the owners before me and I'm not sure about the interior. The carpet looks like it mite have been died because it looks like it's a blueish black. I'm not sure the color is right. I'm getting ready to start re-doing the car and have questions about it's interior colors. The car is red in color, but I think it mite have been a darker red then now. Where would I find out the facts about this.  

Grey was an option in '89, sounds like your interior might've been pieced together from two different cars.
