Good evening!

I need some assistance.  Here is my problem.

I have a 1996 LT4 that has a dead battery.

When I hook up the battery charger, there is ticking noise under the passenger side dash panel.

When I try and start the car and wiggle the brake pedal, the ticking stops.

Do you think the problem is the brake pedal switch?

If not, what are your thoughts?

Thank you!

Kei

I've heard of this problem before, if I remember right, it has to do with the battery being dead, and the anti-theft system is freaking out because of the low voltage.

the ticking you here is the theft deterent system . Charge the battery lock then unlock the car and the ticking should go away . why your battery went dead is another story.
