Iam looking at a 1967 corvette with a 427/435hp with a power glide trans.The man stated it is a number matching car,how can i tell for sure.Thanks mike.My email address is mlazar@suddenlink.net

You need to get the VIN, anything of the engine compartment data plate to start. The obvious way is to check the serial numbers on the block and trans, but that can be difficult to do.
The Powerglide was the M35 option in '67, with less than 3,000 cars built with this option. According to the Corvette Black Book, only 20 427/430 HP cars were built in '67, and the book doesn't mention any of them having the Powerglide, so I'd be suspicious of the authenticity of the car. It could be a 390 or 400 HP motor (still no slouch).
