I have a 1989 vette. When I bought it, the
computer was very HOT.. Car ran like cr*p.. Changed the
computer, and it ran good for a while..
First, it would only rev with a light touch of the gas;
and even then, it would only rev to 3,000. If the gas was pushed too fast, it would bog, then backfire.
Then it would not start hot, and now it won't start at all.... Any ideas guys??  

You getting a Check Engine light?

Sounds like you might have more than one problem. First, some of the issues you're having would relate to a bad Throttle Position Sensor.

You also might be having a fuel system issue, like a partially clogged fuel filter, maybe a fuel pump going bad.

But for the most part, I think the culprit is a bad TPS sensor.
