Heads spinning with possible mods

The LS1 I think has more mod’s and opinions that I ever wanted. I have decided to redo to top end with new cylinder heads and camshaft, BUT I came across a STS Turbo that I would really like to add later on. What was initially a simple idea has evolved into a complicated mess. Is there a logical way to upgrade an engine with out wasting money? Then will the mostly stock engine handle all of those up grades (boost will likely be ran at 5psi). Will I need to upgrade transition or the rear end? Thanks for all the help
