I am brand new corvette owner and would like to know if there is a Vett Owners Manual for Dummies. I am a female and a novice to this vehicle. I am looking for real help on fluids, brakes, tire miledge and normal wear and tear updates. The manual just does not cut it. I don't want to pay for my ignorance. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Our April issue (on sale 2-12) will contain a mostly positive review of Courtney Hansen's "The Garage Girl’s Guide to Everything You Need to Know About Your Car." While not Corvette-specific, the book does a good job of addressing various car-related topics--from purchase to maintenance--from a female perspective.

Between Hansen's book, the car's original owner's manual, and a Chilton's repair guide (available at most auto-parts stores), you should be able to sort out most maintenance and minor-repair issues.

Thanks for stopping by.
