HOW MUCH ARE USED VETTE PRICES DRIVEN BY AUCTIONS SUCH AS BARRETT JACKSON, AND CAN I TAKE THESE PRICES TO THE BANK, I.E. ARE THEY REAL VALUES THE GENERAL PUBLIC CAN USE WHEN SHOPPING FOR/BUYING/INSURING?

I'd tell you no, that Barrett-Jackson is not an honest gauge of Corvette prices. usually Barrett_Jackson prices are very over inflated. For honest values, check Kelly Blue Book, and smaller Corvette auctions that you have honest bidding at.
