Yes folks, it not only can be done-it's a blast. I drove the Cross-Fire from Houston to Foley Al, then on to Richmond for the Corvette Challenge. Finished in the money and got the long distance award-WOOHOO! The car runs consistant 14.4's with a best of 14.3@96mph-not bad for a 120+k mile car-it's still a cross-fire with the stock set-up and long block.Anyway- then on to Virginia Beach and to see the Atlantic. Spent the night in a room overlooking the Ocean. Then it was up to D.C. Washington was amazing! I went to the Air and Space Museum, the Capitol and the monuments. Now I'm back home. All in a week. My '84 now has almost 127k miles on it. It never missed a beat, and got just over 25mpg. My longest turn at the wheel discounting gas stops was around 11 hours. It never got too uncomfortable and my back is fine. It has the '84 sport seats BTW. If ya ever considering road tripping your C4 I highly recommend it!

It's now being upgraded to 383 4 bolt status, 6" rods, Crane cam, 1.6 roller rockers, Dart heads, fully ported and gasket matched Crossfire intake. Results soon.
