Need some help... I have a 94 vette and the left (drivers) side hood latch won't unlatch.  I believe the cable isn't even connected to left latch as it dosent even make a sound when I pull the hood release. The right (passenger) side pops when I pull the hood lever but the left does nothing.  I took it to a Chevy (GM)dealer, but wasn't comfortable with the blank look I was getting. Is there another way to get the hood open??  

i had the same thing happen on my 85 vette.  the lubricant on the release mechanism if not very good i assumed.

i got it open by holding the hood release and pulling up on the hood, letting go of it, and pulling the hood up again....and with enought fidling around i got it open.

i put more lubricant in there but it still sticks a little, but messing around with it will be your best bet.
