i have a 96 vette. when i drive down the highway the temp is at 185, and the heat does not work. when i'm in town the temp prceeds to 240 and gets hotter and still no heat. where do i start on this problem?

Have you tried checking the coolant and the radiator? You might have some interior damage or something in your Corvette's tanks.
