I have been reading some advertisements for 5 Star Shine.
Any recommendations re this product versus silicones versus wax?
My car will be garaged and covered when not in use and stored for the winter. (I live in NY State.)

Personally we've never used that product, so we realy can't speak to its effectiveness. We've used Meguiars products with good success in the Florida sun and rain though.

I have never heard of the 5 Star Shine either. I swear by Griot's products http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp
here is their web site, check them out their products and knowledge have never led me astray. Quite a few of my fellow club members also swear by their products.
