My '95 C4 6-speed has gone through 3 or 4 slave cylinders in the last 5 years. I keep losing fluid to the clutch. Is the clutch putting too much pressure on the cylinder? Does anyone else have this problem? I would hate to have to replace the clutch, but need to know what is wrong that the slave keeps dying on ***

Have you checked the clutch master cylinder? could it be the master cylinder is putting out too much pressure for the slave cylinder to handle?
