I have a 1984 which I recentlly purchased.
There is an indicator light in the center of the tack. It is the letter D inside a square and it only shows when the car is moving, then it constantly flashes.Can someone tell me what it represents and how to stop it from flashing ?  

Not to fear Rick, we're doing some digging to see if we can find out what your indicator light means. as soon as we have an answer we'll post it for you, unless someone else in the Vette world can come up with the right answer before us.

   I received a response from Walt Thurn,an editor from Vette, who suggested I might have the wrong cluster. He was right on the money,as I took my car to a local shop thay spesializes in Corvette work,and they removed the cluster and determined that not only was it the wrong year for my car,but it belonged in a manual transmission car. They sent mine out and exchanged it for the right one and the whole deal cost me $379.00.
